Our August Card Club gathering was all about watercolouring, and at first glance you might wonder what I watercoloured here. Look a little closer at those leaves. To get this very informal look simply stamp your image and then quickly go over it with an Aqua Painter filled with water. The water will move the ink around and create a subtle watercolour look.
If you're looking for some fun ideas to add a little vintage flair to your projects, look no further. Here's a few tips for you:
- cut thicker ribbons in half and fray all the edges
- rough up the edges of your cardstock with the blade of your scissors
- Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla cardstock scream vintage
- sponge edges of your cardstock for an aged look
It's also important to use stamp sets that aren't super modern if you're going vintage. The Choose Happiness stamp set I've used on this card is the perfect example of a vintage-vibe stamp set.
