Have a Seat Retirement Card

Today's card is one I've had around for a while but forgot to share with you!  Whoops!  I love the images of all the chairs in the Have a Seat stamp set, they're so adorable!  And an old comfortable chair is perfect for a retirement card.

I've also used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, Woodgrain background stamp, Paisley Petals DSP, and some Neutrals Buttons.  I really like adding a grouping of buttons or other embellishments to a card because I think it really shows the recipient that you put a little something extra into it.
It may cost you a little extra in postage, but it's worth it for those cute little buttons!

Have a great day!

Merry & Type - New Catalogue Stamp Set

I have to say that I'm not 100% happy with this card, but I sure am happy with the stamp set!  My lack of lovin' from this card really comes from a fault on my part.  I couldn't find my white embossing powder, so I embossed these ornaments in clear.  I think this card would have been SOOOO much better if they were white like I had originally planned.  Oh well, now I have a starting off point for next time.
I  am so in love with these little glimmer brads!  They are fabulous all year round, but especially spectacular for Christmas projects!  There will be many more glimmer brands ordered in the near future around here!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2011 Display Boards Part 1 - Cards

One of the really cool things about Convention is the demonstrator display boards.  There are rows and rows of boards full of card and scrapbook samples that demonstrators have lovingly made to showcase Stampin' Up! products and provide inspiration for others.  These samples are collected from monthly demonstrator contests, as well as regional, leadership, and convention events.  This year I saw some of my creations on the boards again, so that was pretty cool too!  There are no names on these samples, but I thank each and every demonstrator that contributed to the display boards, they were fantastic as always!
Thanks again to everyone for their inspiration!
