With Father's Day less than a month away I thought it only fitting that the Scrapbooking Stamp Club girls did an all about Dad layout. I really couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome! It was a bit of a 'something old and something new' theme, so I used the oldie but goodie stamp set Always the new Best Dad Ever stamp set. Two stamp sets that may not strike you as working together at first glance worked perfectly on these pages! Check out how a sentiment from each of the stamp sets work together...
And the little ties are awesome!
Of course we couldn't have a Stamp Club meeting without learning a new technique! This month was Faux Leather.
And no scrapbook page is complete without some fabulous die cut letters using the BIG SHOT! My fav tool of all time...
I'm starting a new round of Stamp Clubs in June and would love to have you as the newest member! There's a scrapbooking option, or cardmaking option so you choose what suits you best! Check out some more details HERE and then contact me to get yourself registered!

My Digital Studio Class Hybrid Page
On Friday night, I had a house full of ladies over to show some tips and tricks to using the amazing My Digital Studio Software! I had an absolutely FABULOUS time! I have fallen SO in love with this software and everything that it can do, that it was awesome to share it with a room full of very eager ladies!
At the end of the evening I showed the ladies this hybrid page and they had the opportunity to make their own. I really like that with this software you can layer on embellishments and and cardstock and you're not layering on additional cost.
I also printed off some embellishments so I could add some height by popping them up with dimensionals.
And then of course I had to use my BIG SHOT for the title!
This class was a real hit and I'm sure I'll be doing another one very soon. If you'd like to be on the invite list for the next session, be sure to contact me. And if you don't have this fabulous software yet, you can go to my online store and get your very own!

Dusting off an old favourite
Do you have a stamp set that you ordered a long time ago that hasn't seen much ink since then? The Always stamp set has been getting a little dusty at my place, so last night I brushed it off and got it all inky! This is one of the first stamp sets I ordered and I still totally love it. I don't know what I'll do if Stampin' Up! retires it in June...oh please noooo...
There's lots happening on this card. I just kept adding on the goodies!
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Stamp Sets: Always, Engraved Greetings
Ribbon: Daffodil Delight Satin
Big Shot: Top Note Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Oh, and that fun leathery looking piece is the technique I'm teaching at Stamp Club this month. We still have space for a few more stampers, so check out the details and contact me if you'd like to join us!

My Digital Studio - Best Dad Ever
Thanks for stopping by today. :) If you're Canadian, I hope you had a fabulous long weekend! And to my American readers, Memorial Day is just around the corner, so you've got a long weekend coming your way soon!
Today's project is an MDS favourite of mine. I think I'll use this page again and again, just changing the photo, title, and DSP. That's the beauty of scrapbooking digitally! You can just save the same page multiple times, make some changes, and voila...scrapbooking completed in the blink of an eye! It helps me keep caught up with all those pictures! I still scrapbook traditionally, but I'm liking the versatility of MDS more and more every day.
Do you have pictures that need to escape your hard drive and make it into scrapbooks? Well, I've got a solution for you...
The Digital Starter Kit is on SALE for the month of May! So you can get $375 worth of Stampin' Up! stuff (including the My Digital Studio Software) for $150.50 AND you'll also become a Demonstrator, which means at least 20% OFF your purchases! This is a mega good deal! Whether you want to be the next big business demonstrator in your area, or are just looking to get this fantastic deal on some supplies, I'd love to welcome you to the Inkin' Elite Team! Business and Hobby Demonstrators welcomed with open arms! Go HERE to sign up or contact me and we can chat about the details and answer any questions you may have.
'See' you again tomorrow!

Stamp Club Spoiler Alert!
This post comes with a warning to my current Stamp Club girls...I am showing one of our projects for May Stamp Club today, so if you like to be surprised, THEN STOP READING! :)
For the rest of you...I just HAD to share this card!
Ok, so it doesn't look like much from far away...but check it out up close...
This is the technique I'll be teaching at Stamp Club this month. I'm lovin' the leatherly look!
Stamp Club is absolutely the most fun part of my job as a Demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and I would love to have you join us for the next round beginning in June. All the 'ins and outs' are HERE, and we're almost full, so be sure to contact me ASAP if you're interested in joining us (there is a South Calgary group, as well as a North Calgary/Airdrie group). You're more than welcome to come and check it out this month and see what we get up to. I can promise you'll have a blast!
Happy Stampin'

PS thanks everyone for your emails regarding the ribbon dilemma I posted yesterday! Looks like most of you like the idea of packaging the ribbon like I do for the ribbon shares. Time permitting, that's how it'll be at the sale! Thanks again!

Postage Stamp Punch & the cutest owl ever
I have always had a love for postage stamps. As a little girl I became fascinated with stamps because my Poppa had a very large stamp collection that I found enchanting. I could spend hours and hours looking at his collection while he told me stories of where he'd found them, how old they were, and why they were important. So of course when the Postage Stamp Punch was released in the new Summer Mini Catalogue it was on my first order!
Now don't you think this is just the cutest owl ever?! I think he's just adorable!
Want to know the best part? You can earn this Cute By The Inch stamp set for FREE when you host a qualifying workshop. So get a couple of ladies together in a room and I'll bring the top of the line crafting products to play with! I've still got some dates available in May and June, so let's get together and stamp!
Have a fabulous day. And thank you for coming to visit!

My Digital Studio - Leadership 2011
With the fantastic sale on My Digital Studio printing prices this month, I'm trying to get some projects wrapped up so I can print at 30% off! I just love a good sale! The page today is from my trip to Nashville in January for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference. I used some of my tried and true favs for this layout including, the distressed background paper, antique brads, and crochet ribbon. This one came together pretty easily and I'm super happy with the results! Can't ask for much more than that!
A fabulous way to get the My Digital Studio software is to sign up to be a demonstrator! There's a special for that too! You can make creating your 'job' or just enjoy a discount of at least 20% on the best crafting supplies on the market! You can go HERE to see some details about becoming a demonstrator and sign up online, or give me a call and we can chat about what you want this opportunity to mean for you! I would love to welcome some new gals (or guys!!!!) to the Inkin' Elite Team!
Thanks for coming to 'see' me today. Have a great day!

My Digital Studio - Photos as Background Papers & Filling Punches
Today's My Digital Studio page is more of a selection of photos than anything else. This weekend my husband and I travelled to Vancouver Island to attend the memorial for my Nanna. Although she passed away in November, she wanted the family to have a tea party to remember her in the spring, and this Saturday we did just that. These photos are of the area where we spread her ashes. I really wanted this page to be all about the photos, so no DSP, stamps, or embellishments, just some photos and journaling.
Now on to the technical side of things...
To add your photos as a background paper or to the inside of a punch, first you will have to add them to the 'Backgrounds' folder in the 'Compotents' section of your My Digital Studio program files. I know it sounds confusing, but it's REALLY easy. Just think of all the possibilities!!! For those attending, I'll be teaching this at my MDS Class on May 27th.
Thanks for checking in today.

Cards for the Realtors
I'm on a roll! I've been making cards like a mad woman to give to some local businesses. These ones are for some local realtor's offices. I know it's retired, but I just HAD to bring out the Good Neighbors stamp set from Sale-a-braton last year. It was just so perfect for what I was doing. That lovely red DSP is from the Hostess Level 1 In-Colour stack. I love my Poppy Parade...
So what do you think? Fun for a realtor to have on had to send his or her clients? I think so...

Cards for the Vet
Last night I spent some time stamping these cards to deliver to the local veterinary office. It's always so horribly sad when someone loses a pet, so I made these cards for the office to send out to show that they care.
They are very simple and in muted colours, appropriate for the occasion I think. When I was making these I couldn't help but think of when our dog Chapman was attacked by another dog and we thought we might lose him. It was an awful time. We love him so much, our life would be less full without him in it for sure.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Royal Vacation
Westminster Abby
We saw all things royal, including Buckingham Palace, Windor Castle, the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London, and Westminster Abby where my Prince married the wrong woman! So close...
We also did a really great Beatles walking tour which took us to tons of Beatles hot spots, including Abbey Road Studios!
And of course with us both being chefs, we ate at ALOT of places. ALOT. My absolute favourite meal was at Gordon Ramsay's three Michelin Star restaurant. The food and service were the best I have ever experienced.
My favourite dish was the Strawberry Eton Mess I had for dessert. It was mind blowing. Those little fantastic wild strawberries are to die for!
I really wanted to do up an MDS page for you with some pictures from my travels, but my sleep schedule has been seriously impacted with the time change, so things aren't really back to normal yet around here. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Thanks for stopping in. Have a fabulous day!

Sailboat with the Postage Stamp Punch
I came across this card by Mary Fish on Splitcoast Stampers and I knew I had to CASE it! Quite conventient that it's also my Dad's birthday today, and he's sailboat crazy! So this is the perfect card for him.
To make the sailboat, I used the Postage Stamp Punch from the new mini catalogue for the sails, the 1 3/4" Circle Punch for the boat (cut in half) and just some slivers and scraps for the rest.
The sentiment, from the Best Dad Ever stamp set, and this adorable Baker's Twine are also found in the NEW Summer Mini Catalogue!

Downline Gifts
Last week I sent out gifts to my downline to thank them for being on my team. I really truly appreciate that they choose to make me their Stampin' Up! upline, and what better way to show my appreciation than send them free goodies!
When the Beyond the Garden designer paper came with my first order from the Summer Mini Catalogue, I knew I had to send some to each of my girls! It's just so pretty! Of course I couldn't send them a gift without including a card, so I used the Fabulous Florets stamp set and the new Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo embossing powders to make a little 3 x 3 note.
I hope all you girls have your gifts by now! Enjoy!
