What an AMAZING day!

Hi Everyone!

I would first like to thank those that joined me for my National Scrapbooking Month Holiday Scrapbook Event yesterday.  It was so amazing to have you here for such a fun day!  And boy was the paper flying!!!!  As you can see....

We were a tad wild I'll admit!

Morgan made a really cute addition to her book.  She's giving it to a couple going on a Hawaiian honeymoon.  I love her new title!  (click on the picture to enlarge it)

This was our super fun bonus project.  I totally cased it from Gretchen Barron!  It was too cute to pass up!
Thanks again girls for a fabulous time!

Father's Day Card

Hi Everyone!

Sorry it's been a few days since my last post.  I am feverishly preparing for the open house this Saturday and my scrapbooking class on Sunday.  Lots to do!

Anyways, on to the card!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Totally Tool stamp set!  It's a must have in my opinion if you have men in your life.  It's great for thank yous, birthdays, father's day...pretty much anything!  I used Dusty Durango and Bordering Blue cardstock and markers for my card, but I think Real Red and Bordering Blue would be a nice combo too!

I've got lots of these cards to sell at the open house this Saturday, so make sure you stop by!

I hope to see you there!

I'd like to send out a big congratulations to my friend Rachel, who just signed up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!  She's already planning her first workshop with friends and family, so she's really getting off on the right foot!  I wish her the best of luck and  I am so proud of her!

Stamp Club Projects

Hi Everyone!

This past Sunday I had my Stamp Club girls over for our May meeting.  The girls had been asking me to teach them the faux metal technique so we did the bright and beautiful butterfly card with a faux metal sentiment.  We then used the faux metal again to make some tools on the front of our Father's Day cards.  Also, Rachel really wanted to learn the fabric flowers I had shown on my blog a month or so ago, so we got our our needles and thread and put some together!  We had a fabulous time!

If you are interested in a night out with a bunch of fun girls to stamp and create projects be sure to email me!  I have a new Stamp Club beginning in September!  nicepeoplestamp@hotmail.com

More Demo Swaps

Hi Everyone!

I had a fabulous day with my Stamp Club girls!  We were all full of the giggles today, especially after Rachel made her beloved flower ;)  She has been asking me to teach her how to make them, but her first attempt didn't exactly go without a hitch.  Our resident seamstress Alma took over and made the flower beautiful, so in the end everything worked out well!  Thanks Alma!  I'll show you our Stamp Club goodies tomorrow, as I know I promised to show the rest of the demo swaps today!
This card was made by our fearless leader Kim Knopf.  I just love the new Sweet Scoops stamp set!!!!!

I love this card made by Tova Matchett!  The stamp set is called A Little Bit of Magic.  Look at all that colouring she did! Thanks Tova!
This card was made by Bobbi Collins.  She makes such pretty cards!  I loved her swap from Calgary regionals as well!  This one is made with the Bouquet Bunch stamp set.
Thanks to Laura Lawson for this card!  I have been using the Tropical Party stamp set like crazy for scrapbooking, but doesn't it look great on a card as well?!?!  Thanks for the idea Laura!

Demo Swap Cards

Hi Everyone!

Last night I spent a few with some fellow demonstrators sharing ideas and some projects we'd each been working on.  We also had our fearless leader Kim there to ask all our business questions.  Kim quit her full time teaching job 4 years ago to do Stampin' Up! full time and her success is truly astounding.  She has just returned from an all expenses paid cruise through the Carribean that she earned as her Stampin' Up! bonus this past year.  I'm not earning cruises quite yet, but I'd sure like to!!!  Being a demonstrator is fun and rewarding.  Plus a discount on all the great Stampin' Up! products doesn't hurt!  Contact me if you'd like to hear more about the Stampin' Up! career path.

Now on to the swaps... (all stamp sets are from the Summer Mini)
This beautiful card was made by my upline Kristine Burns.  I LOVE this stamp set!  It's called Elements of Style.

I love what Robin Govier did here with the brayer and the new Smooch Spritz!  The palm trees come from the Tropical Party stamp set.

Michelle Miles made such a fantastic spotlighting card with the new King of the Grill stamp set!  This one would be so awesome for Father's Day!

I have a big day planned of cutting cardstock, assembling class kits, and prepping my Stamp Club projects for tomorrow so I better be on my way.  I'll show you lots more swaps tomorrow.

Demo Swap

Hi Everyone!

So tomorrow I am going to meet with some fellow Calgary demonstrators to swap cards made with stamp sets from the new Summer Mini Catalogue.  I used the Sentimental Journey stamp set as well as the Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper.  The colours are So Saffron and More Mustard.  I think it's not really my usual 'style', but I like it!  I hope my demo friends like it too!
