Magnetic Board

Hi Everyone!

Tonight I had an amazing time at my friend (and upline) Kristine's Magnetic Board Class.  There were 4 of us there and we each made something totally different, but all inspired by Kristine's beautiful examples.  She let us raid her decor elements, decor sheets, BIG SHOT dies, and stamp sets!  She is so creative and I just love to attend her events!

Here's a close up of one of the magnets:

I think I just might do a class like this too!  It was so much fun!!!!

Flower Fever!

Hi Everyone!

I have been having so much fun making these fun flowers with my BIG SHOT and the Scallop Circle Dies!  I can't wait to start using them on some scrapbook pages (thanks Margo for that awesome idea)!  I've been wearing this cute blue one on my jean jacket this weekend and I think it looks so springy!  I love it!

As you can see, I'm in mass production mode here!

Now I just need a sewing machine so I can make a matching bag!!!!

Fabric Flower Pin & Blog Candy

Hi Everyone!

I have been seeing pictures all over the internet of things people have sewn using pieces of fabric cut with the BIG SHOT lately.  I use my BIG SHOT constantly for paper crafts, but had yet to try anything with fabric...until today!!!  I am SO pleased with this fabulous flower broach I made.  These flowers would be awesome made into a little girl's headband, pinned onto a purse or collar...pretty much anywhere!  I've got lots of fabric leftover, so I think I'm going to get busy making more!

It's been a while since I've had some blog candy, sooooooo BECOME A FOLLOWER (to the right of this post) and I'll put your name into the draw to win one.  Already a follower?  Leave me a comment on this post to enter your name as well.

Sweet Pea Felt and Paper

Hi Everyone!

So every time I mention anything about my wedding my Mom ALWAYS complains that I have never given her a scrapbook of pictures from it.  I don't exactly have time to make a whole scrapbook right now, but I am putting together a little something for her for Mother's Day.

I LOVE the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack with it's matching Sweet Pea Felt from the Mini Catalogue.  These items are only available until the end of April, so be sure to order them before they disappear!

Calgary Regionals Swap

Hi Everyone!

I just had to show you this fabulous turtle card I received at the Stampin' Up! Calgary Regionals Event.  Not only is it totally adorable, but it's also green!  Happy St.Patrick's Day!!!!  The beautiful turtle stamp is from the stamp set Nature's Nest.  I just love how the lady I swapped with coloured his body and shell in so many different shades of green to make him look so realistic.  Sadly, whoever made this card didn't write their name on the back, so if this is your card, let me know.  I always give credit where credit is due.  Lovely card nonetheless!

March Stamp Club Projects

Hi Everyone!

I hope that my lack of postings hasn't caused you to give up on me!  I'm very sorry for not updating you this past week, but I had some struggles that preventing me from blogging.  I've figured everything out and now I'll be back to my nearly daily postings.

Today I'm showing you the projects that we made at our March Stamp Club Meeting.  We meet once a month and learn a new technique, as well as make a card, and another project (this month it was the cute little Easter basket).  I had a great time with my girls again this month!  We learned all about Crystal Effects and all the amazing uses for it (there are many more than one would think!).  If you live in the Calgary area and would like to join us, please send me a quick email and I can let you know when we're meeting in April.

'See' you tomorrow (I promise!)

PS My stamp room is 99% complete!  Just waiting on my dear husband to hang a few shelves and I'll post some pictures!!!!!!!

Stampin' Up! Calgary Regionals!!!

Hi Everyone!

I went to the Calgary Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar yesterday and had the time of my life!  It was such an amazing experiece I don't even know where to start.  I got to meet the very kind and very talented Co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! Shelli Gardner!!!!  I was so excited to meet her that I forgot to tell her how much I love Stampin' Up!...can you believe it!

We did some awesome projects with our FREE stamp set!  Yup, we got a free stamp set, totally cool!

I swapped the cards I had made with other demonstrators for their cards too!  I brought 80 cards to swap, so now I have 80 new fabulous cards with awesome ideas and techniques I can't wait to share with you!  This is one of my favourites (she didn't put her name on the back, so sadly I don't know who made it).

I joined the Stampin' Up! family so I could get a 20% discount on the products I wanted, which is a FABULOUS reason to join!  But when I look now at where Stampin' Up! has taken me I am so amazed.  I have met so many wonderful people that have become wonderful friends, all while earning some extra money!

It's super easy to become a demonstrator and I'd love for you to join me at events like this one!  Sale-a-bration is the BEST time to sign up too, because you get an additional free stamp set of any value!  Plus, there are 2 starter kits to choose from and they're both 15% off during Sale-a-bration.
My Digital Studio Plus Starter Kit:  Regular $239
Sale-a-bration Price $199

Standard Starter Kit: Regular $269
Sale-a-bration Price $225

I would love to work with you to make Stampin' Up! work for you.  There are lots of demonstrators out there that only buy the product themselves for a discount, and there are lots out there that turn Stampin' Up! into their full time job with a full time income.  Some even sign up only to get the Starter Kit.  Contact me today if you'd like more details.  I'd love to chat with you about this oppourtunity.

Sew cute!

Hi Everyone!

I have figured out my memory card issues, so I finally have some pictures to show you!  I decided to make this card in an attempt to use up some of my scraps.  I had a little sliver of Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon and scraps of the Tall Tales Designer Series Paper.  I'm also on a kick with my Button Die for the BIG SHOT so it seemed fitting to use some here.  This stamp set is the very first one I ever bought from Stampin' Up!  It's called Puns from the Past and it's still available in the current Idea Book and Catalogue.  It has some really cute images, so be sure to check it out.

Since I solved my memory card issues I thought I would share few pictures of when I was at the Olympics two weeks ago with my husband.  This is us at the Whistler Sliding Centre while we watched 2 man bobsleigh.  It was AWESOME!

This is us at the Cross Country Skiing Track.  It was so sunny I couldn't even wear my awesome red mitts!

February Stamp Club

Hi Everyone!

This past Sunday was our February Stamp Club meeting and boy did we have a blast!  We did a fabulous technique using embossing powder and fat-free chocolate pudding mix to make a scratch and sniff chocolate bunny.  He was so so so cute, plus the room smelled like delicious chocolate!  Love it!  We also made an antique looking card with lots of sponging and the Vintage Vogue stamp set.  I just love making weathered items that look like they've survived generations!  Our last project was a miniature purse using the Top Note Die and the BIG SHOT.  We did a faux aligator finish to make it even girlier and added a rhinestone brad for some extra bling.  Thanks Angela for being such a great model!

I wish I could show you more detailed up close pictures, but I seem to have a problem with my memory card!  (I got this picture emailed to me from another member who was snapping photos too).  Of course it's the memory card that has our pictures from our recent trip to Whistler during the Olympics!  I will be devestated if I can't retrieve the photos, so please keep your fingers crossed for me.
