A Gift for Me & SNEAK PEAK

Hi Everyone!

This year for Christmas I asked Santa if I could revamp my craft room, and guess what...Santa brought $$$$

So I can't quite get started on the redecorating until the new year, but I thought this would be a great time to make some new accessories and decor for my new room!  This block is a small part of a bigger project I'm working on, but I couldn't resist sharing this cute little thing right away!  The NEW stamp set I've used here is called Tote-ally Tess (Occasions Mini Catalogue) and she is the sassiest little gal out there!  She's got her awesome tote bag filled with stampin' goodies ready to go!  I love her!!!!  I also used one of the NEW punches, the Medium Jewelry Tag (there's a whole new style of punches too, but more on that later)!

I can't wait to show you the finished project!

Home Decor & a SNEAK PEEK

Hi Everyone!

I made this home decor frame for my friend Morgan for Christmas and I couldn't resist using one of my NEW stamp sets that will be in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalogue (beginning Jan.5th).  The stamp set is called Vintage Vogue and it is AWESOME!!!  I love the pretty vintage flowers that look weathered and worn.  This is going to be one of my new favs for sure!

I used the BIG SHOT and the Alphabet Simple Letters Die for her initials.  I also embellished with some felt from the Flower Fusion assortment, some 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, and some Neutrals Brads.  All my stamping, sponging, and cardstock is Pink Passion, Whisper White, and Old Olive.

I used a cool masking technique to make the scallops on my paper for my background.  I'll be teaching this technique as part of Stamp Club 2010.  Check out the post from Dec.21for the details.  Email me to join!!  It's going to be a BLAST!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope you are all having a fabulous day with your families and enjoying a day of rest and relaxation.

I can't believe this is my last Christmas card of the year.  It's a little bit sad, but I know there are TONS of great things to come, so stay tuned!

The inspiration for this card came from the wrapping paper I used for all the people receiving gifts from their Stampin' Up! wish lists.  I used the Serene Snowflakes stamp set for the beautiful snowflakes, as well as the Delightful Decorations stamp set for the sentiment.  The fantastically bold colours I've used are Pink Passion and Brilliant Blue, with just a touch of Going Grey.

Spiced Up Christmas Gifts

Hi Everyone!

I'm so glad I can finally share with you this fun Christmas gift my husband and I gave out to a few friends and neighbors (we finally handed the last of them out).  My husband is a chef and I'm a pastry chef, so people are always asking us about what we eat at home, who does all the cooking, and what our favourite ingredients are.  We thought it would be fun to share with friends some of our own spice mixes that we use for dips, spreads, and grilling.  We made little 3 packs of 'Japanese, Indian, & Cajun'.  He made the spice mixes, I did the decorating and packaging!

I love BUTTONS!

Hi Everyone!

So I will start off by saying that I saw the idea for this card somewhere and cannot for the life of me find it now.  I always give credit where it is due, so if this looks like a card of yours, please let me know.

I just love love love the fantastic and unique way this card uses the Tree Trimmings stamp set and assortment of Designer Buttons to create the ornaments.  What a cute idea!  I have admitted before that I am prone to embellishment hoarding, so using 3 buttons on one card was a struggle for me, but I'm so glad I did!  I couldn't love this card more if I tried!  The sentiment I've used here is from the Grateful Greetings stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalogue (time is running out to order these items!  Last order day from this mini catalogue is Jan.4).  I've used cardstock in Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla.  The beautiful patterned paper is in the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Pack.  All stamping is done with Chocolate Chip Ink.

I can't believe that Christmas is almost here and soon we'll all be scrapbooking pictures when the holidays are over!

I know that some of my friends are taking breaks from their blogs over the holidays, but I will be posting about every other day with SNEAK PEEKS of items from the NEW OCCASIONS MINI CATALOGUE & SALE-A-BRATION.  I hope you take some time out over the holidays to see what I'm up to.

Gone glitter crazy!!!

Hi Everyone!

So my Mom is a bit of a fashionista and LOVES 'bling', so I thought this year I'd make a Christmas card just for her!  I'm not sure this card is one of my favs, but I know that she'll really like it because it's totally her style!

For this card I used the Sparkle & Bright Jumbo Roller to make my patterened paper.  Then I used Dazzling Diamonds and Chunky Essentials Glitter in Red for all my 'blingy' ornaments.  I made the belt using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch as well as the Crop-a-dile and the Corner Rounder Punch.

I hope she likes it!

Super Quick Christmas Card

Hi Everyone!

I decided that I wanted to try and make a card in under 5 minutes today and this is what I made when I tried.  I already had an idea in my head before I started, but it did turn out a little different than I intended.

For this card I used the Yuletide Christmas stamp set for the pretty wreath and greeting.  I've used Designer Series Paper from the Merry Moments selection, as well as some Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, and Very Vanilla cardstock.  I embossed my Real Red background with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder and my BIG SHOT.  I also used the BIG SHOT and the Tree Ornaments die for the cute little ornaments that are hanging on the silver cord.

I hope you like the card today.  What can you make in 5 minutes???

Memory Book

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm sharing with you a memory book I'm making to hold pictures of my Grandma.  She LOVED the colour purple, so I thought what better paper to use than the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper!  This selection of papers is so beautiful!  The stamp set I've used for all the circles decorating my cover is called Circle Circus.  I've also used the Define Your Life stamp set for the fun little definition of the word 'memories'.

I actually made this book by using the Long Board Chipboard for my front and back cover (I cut it down to the size I wanted), some binder rings, and cardstock.  All I had to do was cut my pages to size, use my Crop-a-dile to punch holes through all of them, and then clip them together with my rings.  It was so simple!

As I finish pages in my book I'll share them with you too!

Felt Flurries, such a deal!

Hi Everyone!

Those that know me, know that I like a good deal just as much as the next gal.  So when Stampin' Up! introduced the 'Clearance Rack' in the online shopping portion of demonstrator websites I was over the moon!  The adorable little felt snowflakes on this card are from the Clearance Rack, can you believe it!??!  I just think they are so sweet.

Alright, down to the details...  My cardstock colours here are Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red, Bashful Blue, and I've also used a little bit of the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper.  The beautiful snowflake stamps decorating my card base are from the Serene Snowflakes stamp set and my sentiment is from the Four the Holidays stamp set.  The pretty border on my Bashful Blue cardstock is made using the Eyelet Border Punch.  I think this punch really makes the card look so delicate and pretty.

I hope all of your holiday projects are coming together and you're having a fun time creating gifts for your friends and family, I know I am!

Dashing Dasher

Hi Everyone!

I don't really know why, but I have kind of been 'saving' my Dasher stamp.  I think I've only made one other card with this adorable guy!  How awful of me!  He must be feeling so neglected!

So for this card I used Garden Green, Black, and Kraft cardstock.  I embossed the Dasher image with Black Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool.  The trees behind Dasher are stamped with Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip Ink.  These trees are from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.

I don't know why I've been 'saving' Dasher for so long, but I'm sure glad I got him out today!

Holiday Papers

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday!  I am spending the day in my craft room creating cards and holiday projects to take with me when I go to Japan at the end of the month.  Christmas is celebrated a little differently there, so I'm bringing a traditional Canadian Christmas with me!  I'll even be giving out Christmas cards to my father in law's neighbors!  They're going to think I'm crazy!!!!

This is a quick and easy card I created that will be easy for me to mass produce.  It uses the BEAUTIFUL Merry Moments Designer Series Paper.  I really really love this paper.  I'm buying a few packs to stow away for next year I love it so much!  The little tag has been stamped with a sentiment from the Grateful Greetings stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalogue.  Can you believe that the Holiday Mini items are retiring at the end of the month?!?  I can't...

Open House and LOLLIPOPS!

Hi Everyone!

This Saturday, December 5th, I am participating in a really awesome open house! This is an excellent way to get lots of your holiday shopping done all in one place! I will have some ready made projects for purchase (cards, tags, gift boxes, etc) as well as some kits for you to make on your own (waterfall scrapbooks, exploding boxes, etc). This is also the perfect time to place a catalogue order, as I have a great draw that will only be open to those who make a purchase. I'm really excited about this event! There are lots of great vendors, so I'd love to see you there!

To celebrate this fantasitc day, I decided to make these cute little candle lollipops for all the guests to take home with them.  I used the One of a Kind stamp set for my tag and then used the Circle Circus stamp set for the decoration on my candle.  This project is made with the super awesome In-colours: Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, and Bermuda Bay.  Want one of these cute candles?  Come to the open house!  Everyone is welcome!

Cheers! and Happy New Year1

Hi Everyone!

So I know it's not exactly New Year's yet, but it will be before we all know it!  I think this card would be so fun for a New Year's party invite or just to say hello and Happy New Year.  If you're looking at my background paper and wondering where I bought it...well....I didn't!  I made it!!!  The Stampin' Around Wheels are fantastic for making inexpensive background papers for mass production cardmaking.  I made this one using the 'Cheers' wheel and my Stampin' Write Markers.  I then used the coordinating stamp set called Cheers to You for the little champagne flutes and my sentiment is from the Tiny Tiny Wishes stamp set.
