Home Decor Tree
Hi Everyone!
I thought I'd show you another one of the home decor decals I put up this weekend while at my Aunt's house in Edmonton. I just love this! The tree decal is called Tree, Thoughts & Prayers and the saying is Direction of your Dreams. She chose the beautiful chocolate colour, but these are also available in black.
Have a great day everyone!

Home Decor
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I was in Edmonton visiting family and had a really terrific time! My Aunt ordered some wall decals recently and we had a chance over the weekend to put them up, and I've got to say...they look AMAZING!!!
The picture above is of her ensuite bathroom. We applied two sheets of the Old Olive Upsy Daisies and one sheet of the White Uspy Daisies 'sprouting out' above her tiles. Even though these come all on one sheet, we just cut them appart and applied them in random pieces at random lengths to make them look more natural. I can't stress enough how easy these are to apply and how much they add to a room. In a matter of an hour, we had them all up and now the bathroom really looks truly finished and sophisticated! We kept going in there over and over again all weekend to look at them!

Another Stamp a Stack Class Item
I've decided to show you another card that will be featured at the Stamp a Stack Event on October 12th from 6-9pm. I really wish you could feel the red and white paper on the left of this card. It feels like a lush and plush velvet! Register for this event as soon as possible. Email me at nicepeoplestamp@hotmail.com
The stamp set used to make this card is called Tree Trimmings, and this is such a great buy, at only $19.95. The stamp set has three ornament stamps (one not shown here) as well as the cute little string with a bow to hang them on. The colours I've used are Whisper White, Real Red, and Chocolate Chip. That beautiful flocked velety paper is from the Christmas Cocoa Designer Specialty Paper pack from the new Holiday Mini Catalogue and I added the cute scallop detail beside it using the Scallop Edge Punch. I've also used a selection of 1/4" grosgrain ribbons in Whisper White, Real Red, and Chocolate Chip for some interest.
I hope you're enjoying the sneak peek at the Stamp a Stack Event. Please join me!

Halloween Matchbox Treat
Hi Everyone!
I'm totally head over heals in love with my BIG SHOT! I can just make so much with it! This little matchbox is all spooky and sweet with these Halloween papers and stamps, but it could look lovely with some pretty bridal paper for wedding favours! It's just so versatile!
I made this with the Matchbox Die and the BIG SHOT. The cardstock used for the box is Pumpkin Pie and the paper for the cover is the Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper. I used a small strip of Perfect Plum cardstock and stamped it with the pumpkin from the Family Accessories stamp set for a little embelishment. The label features a saying from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, some Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, and an Old Olive Brad.
I think I'll make a bunch of these and put mini chocolate bars inside for the trick or treaters this year! Won't that be sweet...

WATERFALL SCRAPBOOK CLASS - DATE CHANGE!!!
So sorry about the confusion everyone. The date for the Waterfall Scrapbook Class was originally posted incorrectly. The correct date is Monday, October 19th from 6-9pm. REGISTER TODAY - 7 spaces left! Email nicepeoplestamp@hotmail.com
Registration for this event ends October 7th.
Emboss Resist Technique
Hi Everyone!
I made this card to give for a birthday, but I think it would look really lovely changed up for Christmas. The new Serene Snowflakes stamp set is really beautiful, I bet that would look great!
So the colours for this card are Real Red, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. The stamp sets are Short and Sweet and One of a Kind. To do the emboss resist technique: stamp your image with VersaMark ink onto Glossy Cardstock. Sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder and heat with your Heat Tool. Use your Brayer, inked with Bashful Blue, and colour over the entire image. Use a tissue to wipe off any excess ink. This technique is another unique way to use your stamps to create a whole new look!
I hope you have fun re-creating this card, and if anyone makes one with snowflakes, be sure to email me a picture!

Animal Stories
Hi Everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I spent a lot of my weekend getting ready for my upcoming classes and workshops. I always get so excited getting everyone's packages together! If you haven't attended classes before, please check the class calendar to the right, I've got lots planned and I'd love to see you there. PLUS, I have a new special...get a friend to register for a class (who has never attended before) and you get $5 off your class, bring two friends and get $10 off your class, three friends $15 off...you get it!
Alright, now for the project today. This is a box and set of cards that I made for my friend who just had a baby (hopefully she likes them when she sees them here)! I love that they're totally generic, boy or girl, so I can re-create them for many more people without worrying if they have a girl or boy.
The stamp set I used here is called Animal Stories. I love that the animals look puffy, like stuffed animals! I've also used the matching Tall Tales Designer Series Paper, I just love that these go together! For embelishments I've used some co-ordinating grosgrain ribbon, mini library clips, and staples. The cardstock colours are Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.
This card is my favourite from the set:
I hope you like it too! Got any requests? Let me know what you want to see!

Happy Sundae!
Hi Everyone!
I was going to wait to post this tomorrow, but I just couldn't resist posting it today! Lots of you who attend my classes know that I LOVE the Stampin' Up! punches because they are so versatile, and this card is another example of that.
The punches I used for this card are: 1 3/4" circle (for the bowl), 1" circle (for the icecream), 1/2" circle (for the cherry), scallop circle (for the icecream toppings), large oval (for the banana), modern label (for the saying), and scallop edge (for the bottom of the card). The cardstock colours I used are Old Olive, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, and Close to Cocoa. I also used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, and the AMAZING Mini Library Clips...aren't they just darling?!
Just a reminder that I will be doing the drawing this week for the givaway I mentioned in my first blog entry. If you haven't made a comment yet, better hurry! Unless you don't like free stuff...

For Rachel...
Hi Everyone!
So after many days of phone tag, I finally connected with my friend Rachel! I was telling her about the upcoming Halloween Box Class and she mentioned that Halloween isn't really her thing. Sooooo...I told her I'd show her just how easy it is to change any project to meet her own needs, and here it is all switched up for Christmas!
To make this box I used Whisper White and Garden Green cardstock, as well as the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper. I also used the hostess level 2 Christmas Punch stamp set, as well as the Delightful Decorations stamp set with the matching Ornament Punch (I think you'll see me use this one a lot this season, it's just so easy!). There's also some Silver Elastic Cord and one of the white Jumbo Grommets from the designer hardware series. I really love the monochoromatic look of this project. Not too many colours, not too many flashy embelishments, just nice, clean, and simple looking.
Well, I hope Rachel and everyone else enjoyed this project, all switched up for Christmas!

Cupcake Crazies!
Hi Everyone!
I am a Pastry Chef, so I LOOOOVVVVEEEE cupcakes. I've always wanted to come up with a fun and creative way to give cupcakes as gifts to friends and family when I visit, sooo...I designed this cute mini cupcake six-pack!
This project is part of the upcoming Cupcake Crazies Class being held at my house on Wednesday, September 30th from 6-9pm. During this class we'll be making the project shown above, as well as 4 matching cards, and an individual mini cupcake holder with a see thru window. This is going to be so much fun! Cost is $25. Contact me by email to reserve your spot today! Don't live in Calgary? This project is also available by mail. Contact me for more information.
Alright, down to the details. The colours for this project are: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and Pretty in Pink. The saying is from one of my favs, Teeny Tiny Wishes, I also used the hostess level one stamp set Out of the Box for the adorable little cupcake. The cupcakes even stay in place, so this is a great gift that can travel in the back seat of the car without getting ruined!
Hope you enjoyed the project today, don't forget to sign up for the class!

Sweet Centers
Hi Everyone!
Last night it felt like fall for the first time here in Calgary. I love fall, but it's just such a short season here. In no time the ground will be covered with snow and I'll be dreaming of vacations to Vegas and Hawaii. Anyways, on with today's project...
Yesterday my friend and neighbor Johanna was asking me about the Sweet Centers stamp set and the co-ordinating Sweet Treat Cups from the Holiday Mini Catalogue, so I decided to make her this cute little card with a few Stampin' Up! goodies inside. This stamp set and the matching cups really have endless possibilities. In addition to this adorable little flower, there are also stamps for Halloween, Valentines Day, Christmas, and an adorable little hot air balloon I think would look great for birthdays. These are really SOOOO simple to use. First I stamped the flower petals in Pixie Pink Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and cut them out. Then I filled the Sweet Treat Cup with some eyelets, library clips, and brads. These cups come with adhesive already on them, so all I had to do was remove the backing and stick it to my card, which is a 4 x 8 piece of Old Olive Cardstock (scored in the center and folded). Then I just attached the flower petals with SNAIL and I was done! Really really simple, but a great way to give a gift!

Faux Aligator Purse
Hi Everyone!
Today I'm showing you a Faux Aligator Purse that I did in a craft class a few weeks ago. If you live in the Calgary area and are interested in attending craft classes, be sure to sign up as a follower (look to the left of this) so you'll always get the latest updates! I also go to Edmonton about once a month to hold classes and workshops so if you live in Edmonton, there's always something going on for you too! Sign up today!
To make this purse I used the Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper (so cute!!!) as well as the co-ordinating Real Red Cardstock. The faux aligator look is achieved by inking up your entire piece of cardstock with VersaMark Ink. Then cover the entire area with Clear Embossing Powder. Before you heat the embossing powder, use the point of your Bone Folder and make random sized circles all over the place. This will remove the embossing power from the circled area. Then use your Heat Tool to melt the embossing powder. This is a totally fun and easy way to dress up projects and give them that extra something.
I hope you've been enjoying the projects so far. Remember to leave comments, you never know when I'll be giving away things randomly! Please be sure to include your email address in your comment so I know how to reach you if you win!

Spooky Halloween Box Class
Hi Everyone!
Isn't this box just adorable!?! I think I'll be using this same design many times over. Wouldn't it look just fabulous all decorated up for Christmas with some matching cards in the bottom drawer? I must give credit where credit is due, because this project was inspired by Becky Roberts who did a box quite similar to this. Thank you Becky!
For this project I used the Cast-a-spell Designer Series Paper, a spooky, cute, and playful paper from the new catalogue. The co-ordinating cardstock and ink colours are: pumpkin pie, old olive, perfect plum, and basic black. I also used the Batty for You and Calendar Alphabet & Numbers stamp sets. Aren't the little peppermint patties with their sassy little Halloween sayings fun?
If you love is project as much as I do, come to my class this Sunday, September 20th from 2-5pm. Email me for details at nicepeoplestamp@hotmail.com

Delightful Decorations!
Hi Everyone,
So my friend Morgan requested a Christmas project, and here it is! I used the oh so fabulous stamp set called Delightful Decorations and the matching Ornament Punch. Having a punch for this stamp set really makes things quick and easy! Think of all those Christmas Cards that you can produce in a short amount of time! For the branches I used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set with the pine tree turned sideways, thanks Kristine for that tip! I'm sorry it didn't show up in the photo that well, but the ornaments are actually shiny! I just LOVE the new Shimmer Paint found in the Holiday Mini Catalogue! Don't have a copy of the Holiday Mini? Email me and I'll make sure you get one ASAP!

Techniques Spotlight Card
Hi Everyone,
This is a card I made for a techniques spotlight at my friend Angela's workshop. I used the Stampin' Pastels for the flowers along the bottom of the card (such a beautiful product!). If you've never used the Stampin' Pastels before, here's a quick overview: Rub your Embossing Buddy over the area where you would like to place your image. Ink your stamp with VersaMark ink. Stamp onto your paper (your image will look like a watermark), and then apply the Stampin' Pastels in the colours of your choice with Sponge Daubers. It's so simple, but adds so much pizzaz! I also used the Heat and Stick Powder with the Dazzling Diamonds glitter for the pretty sparkly embellishment. The stamp set is called Always.
