Sealed with Love Home Decor: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello my friends and welcome to the first official blog hop of the new 2017 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team. I have been lucky enough to be chosen to serve on this incredible team for another year (this will be my third) and I hope you'll continue to enjoy the creations I have to share with you. A new team also means you'll find lots of great new blogs to follow from all over the world - and if this is your first visit to my blog, welcome to CANADA. Some of the blogs may not be in your language, so be sure to use the google translate feature to get all the details from the designers.

My project today is a piece of Valentines home decor using the Sealed with Love Stamp Set and Love Notes Framelits Dies. You'll find these great new products bundled in the Occasions Catalogue for a 10% savings - yahoo!
When creating a project like this, I find it's easiest for me if I choose a colour palette and work on one square at a time. I especially love the one above with the four tiny envelopes. You'll find that cute envelope in the Love Notes Framelits Dies
There are lots of great elements on this piece, and tons of fun products from both the Occasions and Annual Catalogues, but one AMAZING item that you won't find in any catalogue is the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. These were released briefly in the fall, at which time they sold out so so quickly. Well now they're back in stock and ready to order! I don't think I can bring myself to die cut a non-stitched circle, square, or oval while these are available. I think they're to 'die' for.

I hope you've enjoyed my project today, and I hope you're inspired to create your own piece of Valentines home decor. You'll find links to my Canadian Online Stampin' Up! Shop so you can purchase the the products I've used at the bottom of this post.

Now please go and visit my new blog hop partner and new Artisan Design Team member in France, Aurélie Fabre.

Avant Garden Card

Hello friends. It's been a whirlwind of activity here, with lots of stamping, but not a whole lot that I can share just yet. I've been working on new Artisan design team projects, blog hop project commitments, swaps for the conference I'm attending this week, and also make n' takes for the conference attendees. LOTS of stamping! I did realize today that I had not yet shared this quick and easy card with you, and it uses a stamp set that's kind of sneaking under the radar. Let's change that shall we?
The Avant Garden stamp set is so pretty, and you can whip up a beautiful card in almost no time with it. I simply stamped my sentiment and floral stamp using Archival Basic Black Ink, and then used my Blender Pen to add some Crushed Curry and Old Olive ink to colour the image. Add in the water spots (this stamp is also in this set) with Soft Sky Ink, tie some Crushed Curry Baker's Twine around the whole thing, and mount it on a Soft Sky card base. Easy peasy friends.

The Avant Garden stamp set can be found in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration brochure

How does Sale-a-bration work?
For every $60 you spend (before shipping and tax) you can choose a FREE Sale-a-bration item. These are exclusive products that can only be earned with a purchase of $60 - you cannot buy them!
