Seasonally Scattered Merry Christmas Card

It's an exciting and action packed week around here! We are meeting with the person who will be drawing up the plans for my basement studio, which also means it's time to clean out the basement of all the crap that's collected there over the past 8 years. No easy task friends. It's rather horrifying actually. I see lots of donations and garbage runs in my future. I also have my weekend retreat in just a few short days, so I've been frantically wrapping gifts, making samples, and prepping make n' takes. It's going to be a fab time!

Well on to why you're really here, this card.
This card came together very quickly and easily, so if you're looking for a design to make for everyone on your list this year this one's for you. I made several for a swap I participated in with my upline and several sidelines and downline.
The Seasonally Scattered stamp set is so great for big impact cards. The sentiments are large and in charge!

You'll love all the fabulous cards and scrapbook pages you can make using these stamps. Shop for yours in My Online Shop today.

Vintage Marquee Sign Christmas Card: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! I love almost all things vintage, and I have a special love for vintage signage. I love old-timey signs with their swirly-twirly or bold and bright fonts, neon lights….and especially lighted marquee signs. Check out how this little love affair translated onto paper:
It is so simple to create these vintage marquee letters on your paper crafting projects, let me show you how in this quick video:

It's really so simple. And because we are using the super shiny Gold Foil Paper from Stampin' Up! it really catches the light beautifully. It almost looks lit up!
I hope you have fun creating your very own marquee letters on your paper crafting projects. To see a full supply list and order from my online shop, please click on any of the products listed below.

Now let's see what Barbara has created to inspire us this week!

Seasonally Scattered: Colourful Christmas Card

How in the world is it already Wednesday?! Wow. This week is flying by! I do have some VERY exciting news to report. This morning we are signing the contract to begin our basement development for my Stampin' Up! business! I can't believe it. I'm SO excited. I'll have a very large studio for teaching classes, a private office, and a full bathroom. I'll never have to leave! Just kidding…I think. :) Don't tell my husband, but I'm already planning all the fabulous decor. Let's just say that I am overwhelmed with amazing ideas. I can't wait to share the process with you!

Ok ok, on to today's card. The real reason you're here right!? This bold and bright Christmas card is one that I made for the display boards at Stampin' Up! Convention this summer. I just love a non-traditional colour palette for Christmas!
The Seasonally Scattered stamp set is great for creating a big and bold statements on cards and scrapbook pages. The sentiments 'Love', 'Thanks', and 'Merry' can be used together with so many other stamps too. I've used the Alphabet Rotary stamp here to add the 'Christmas'. A Cute Christmas House for the Creativity Hop

Last week I was nominated by my friend and Stampin' Up! team member Shannon Lane to participate in the Creativity Blog Hop.  Well, of course I said yes!  With the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday on Monday, my post is a day late, but I hope you're still excited to learn a little more about me and my creative process.  Let's dive in!

What am I working on now?
With the Christmas season just around the corner I'm currently working on creating some fabulous samples for upcoming November and December classes, as well as some quick and cute projects to sell at craft fairs in the coming weeks.
How does my work differ from others in my genre?
I am a very versatile stamper.  I like clean and simple, adore grungy vintage, love bold and bright, and relish in watercolour techniques.  I don't have one distinct 'go to' style that I repeat.  I like to reinvent and create something new almost every time I sit down to create.
Why do I create what I do?
Almost everything I create is for my Stampin' Up! business.  That's not saying that I don't create personal projects, I do.  I just choose to share them with my blog readers and customers 98% of the time too.  Today's card for example, was used as a Make n Take at my Holiday Catalogue Open House AND my Stampin' Up! team shoebox swap.
How does my creative process work?
Sit down, look around, and get to it.  I keep all my supplies within my reach and eyesight so I don't forget about any gems that might be hiding.  Often one product will inspire an entire project.

Up next I'd like to nominate my cousin, friend, and Stampin' Up! team member Jessica Davey.  Make sure to visit her blog on Monday, October 20th to see what she's created!
