That Thing You Did - Vintage Tie Dye Birthday Card w/ Video: #tgifc09

Hello my friends! It's TGIF time! This week is our monthly challenge remix.
I chose to combine both the watercolour challenge and the sketch challenge for some super fun cards - I couldn't stop at just one!
I decided to try three fun colour combinations:

One of the first stamp sets I noticed in the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue is called That Thing You Did. The sentiments are fun and quirky, and even have a little sass. Love it!
That Thing You Did stamp set $21
The 'you're so vintage' sentiment combined with this fun watercolour tie dye technique are fab. And I couldn't leave you wondering how I did the Tie Dye, so I made you a video:
It's really that easy! I hope you give it a try! Don't forget that you have the chance to play along with us at TGIF this week, and every week!

Thanks so much for visiting me today.

Sprinkles of Life Ice Cream Birthday Card: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hi friends! Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! This week the team has projects featuring the Sprinkles of Life stamp set set to share with you. Did you know that every time this stamp set is purchased, Stampin' Up! donates $3 to Ronald McDonald House Charities? Yep, pretty awesome.
Sprinkles of Life stamp set $26
There are so many fab possibilities with this stamp set, and it even has a co-ordinating punch (that has been so popular that it's currently backordered, but totally worth the wait)!
For my card I decided that I'd go with a soft and pretty watercolour look with a few little pops of black. Here's the colours I used:
- Cone: stamped in Soft Suede, watercoloured with So Saffron
- Ice cream: watercoloured with Pool Party
- Circle: watercoloured with Pink Pirouette
The awesome Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Silhouettes & Script hostess stamp set - you're going to be seeing a lot of this one from me! And of course what's a birthday card without a little glitz?! Had to add some Gold Glimmer Paper stars for some shimmer!

Thanks so much for visiting me on the blog hop this week. Let's go see what my friend Barbara has created this week!

Beautiful Bunch Card: #tgifc08

It's TGIF day my friends! I hope you'll play along with us this week as we celebrate love and marriage over at TGIF challenges!
I love a summer wedding. My husband and I got married in the summer. Wanna see a throwback in time?
We were such babies then. This summer we will celebrate our 9 year wedding anniversary. I can only imagine what wonderful things the next several years will bring.

Ok, ok. I'll get on to the real reason you're here. This is my card for the TGIF challenge this week.
Coral has been a hot wedding colour for a few years now and I love how a great wedding colour scheme can translate into a beautiful card. The large Calypso Coral flowers, paired with the bright Cucumber Crush ferns, and itty bitty Watermelon Wonder flowers have such a contemporary feel. The focal piece of this card was so bright that I chose a muted, but lovely, Tip Top Taupe card base that really makes those images pop.
Speaking of things that pop. Check out the awesome wood veneer sentiment on this card! These Expressions Natural Elements are a hidden gem in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

Hello friends! Today I have the pleasure of being the featured artist on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog! They do a really fun post on Thursdays called Card Cafe Thursday and they asked yours truly to do the honours! I hope you'll go and check it out.

All three of my cards feature the new Watercolour Wings bundle. It's a new fave (yes, another one).
Thanks so much for sharing in my excitement!

Silhouettes & Script Card: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Did you know that there are EXCLUSIVE stamp sets just for those who host a Stampin' Up! gathering? This week we have some fab projects to show you using the host/hostess stamp sets from the new catalogue. The only way to get them is to gather your friends for a fun night of stamping, or you can place a $200 order and be your own party!

My card this week features the Silhouettes & Script stamp set. This one has lots of FUN pieces to it, but my absolute fave is the little label tape stamps!
So cute right?! This stamp set also has a selection of images containing script that are adorbs. This peach looks great stamped in two tones.
Some other fun favourites here are the Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim (love it just peeking out a little like this), Hardwood background stamp, and Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder. For a full list of supplies, please scroll to the bottom of this post.

Now let's go and see what Barbara has for us this week!

Thanks so much for visiting me today! I have a fun surprise to post on Thursday, June 18th, so be sure you come back and visit me!
